Compensation & Schedule Details

  • Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (Mid-shift / variable hours).
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Target Start Date: October 11, 2026 (Orientation includes two 8-hour hospital orientation shifts at the main campus plus two 12-hour clinical unit orientation shifts).
  • Scheduling & Holidays: Local staff self-schedule; travelers cannot be guaranteed block scheduling. Travelers are expected to help cover holidays unless negotiated in the contract. Minimal weekend requirements due to existing weekend-option coverage.

Key Facility Policies & Floating Rules

  • Multi-Campus Floating: Floating is required across the 3 Memorial campuses (two located in Tennessee, meaning a compact nursing license is required). Campuses are within 20–25 minutes of each other.
  • Unit Overview & Acuity: 24-bed facility (opened in Jan 2026) featuring 4 behavioral health safe rooms, 2 critical care rooms, and a 9-chair vertical flow area. Averages 70–80 patients/day. STEMI and stroke-receiving facility (interventions and major traumas are transferred out).
  • Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; plain or Memorial-branded sweatshirts allowed (no hoodies).

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum recent emergency room experience required. Not suitable for new ED nurses—must be self-sufficient, capable of working in a fast-paced environment with fewer resources, and skilled in Epic (prior experience in smaller, fast-paced facilities preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Georgia (GA) RN license plus a compact state license (due to cross-state floating to Tennessee campuses).
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required in hand.
