Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Overland Park, KS. This position involves providing high-quality trauma and emergency care in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment. The role requires a dedicated professional experienced in trauma care, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and triage protocols, ensuring timely and compassionate patient treatment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Emergency Room Nurse providing trauma and emergency care in a Level 2 Trauma Center with 24 beds, utilizing advanced equipment such as Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps. Documentation is managed via Meditech system.
- Required Qualifications: Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 2 years experience in emergency or trauma nursing, ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC certifications, and knowledge of trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis care.
- Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36 hours per week; shift hours as early as 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, as late as 1:30 pm to 1:30 am; every third weekend.
- Additional Information: Use of AIDET and whiteboards to ensure positive patient experiences. Staffing includes 5 RNs on core shifts and unit secretaries 21 hours/day. Rare floating only if absolutely necessary.
