Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license for Washington, DC at the time of start; pending DC license may be accepted at submission if proof is provided
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- C-EFM NCC certification required at the time of submittal
- NIHSS certification preferred for clinical clearance
- Experience in a community hospital or high-acuity emergency setting preferred
- Comfortable with rotating shifts, holidays, and weekend coverage as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
- Administer emergency medications and support critical interventions as needed
- Monitor patients requiring cardiac, respiratory, neurological, or trauma-related care
- Assist with procedures such as IV placement, blood product administration, and airway support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation and promote timely communication across the care team
- Provide compassionate care while responding effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
