Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to quickly recognize changes in patient condition
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency care environment
  • Trauma experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume ED preferred
  • Required certifications: TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS, and CPI
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
  • Perform rapid patient assessments and respond to changes in condition using sound clinical judgment
  • Support emergency, trauma, and critical care interventions as needed
  • Carry out common ED procedures including moderate sedation, RSI, CPR, PIV/IO access, splinting, EKGs, blood transfusions, and TNK administration
  • Assist with cardiac monitoring, stroke assessments, trauma assessments, resuscitation efforts, and sepsis workups
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
  • Arrive prepared for huddle and assume patient care at the start of shift
  • Follow unit expectations that support a safe, organized, and team-focused environment
