Job Summary

Emergency Room in Richmond, Virginia. This position supports emergency care within a 50-bed cardiac-monitored unit with an additional 8-bed rapid treatment area. The role requires collaboration in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and includes weekend availability.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
  • Additional Information: Patient ratios are approximately 4:1. The role involves typical emergency department functions, use of cardiac monitoring equipment, and electronic medical record documentation. Weekend availability is required; no on-call coverage is required. Navy scrubs are required. A positive, flexible, and teamwork-oriented approach is preferred.
