Job Title: Free-Standing Emergency Room RN

Facility Type/Setting: Standalone Emergency Department / Urgent Care

Facility/Location: Summerville Standalone ED/UC, Summerville, SC

Shift & Schedule: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; every other weekend

Weekly Hours: 36 hours scheduled

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: No call; every other weekend. During hurricane season (June–November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including adult and pediatric patients
• Epic experience required
• Experience with CVA/stroke required
• South Carolina or multistate/compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC required
• AHA certifications required for BLS and ACLS
• First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of ED experience
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
• CPI and NRP preferred
• Travelers may float to West Ashley FSED or Kiawah FSED as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with medical, neurological, respiratory, traumatic, and behavioral health conditions.
• Perform triage, assess patient acuity, administer medications, and manage emergency interventions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, perform ECGs, establish IV access, and assist with procedures and stabilization.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation in Epic.
