Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) position located in a non-trauma emergency department that serves as a primary stroke and STEMI center. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care for a diverse patient population, including adult and pediatric patients, in a fast-paced setting that requires proficiency in emergency response and cardiac monitoring.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience; valid Missouri or Compact state nursing license; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Additional certifications such as Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and Management of Ambulatory Blood pressure (MAB) are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing dysrhythmias, arterial line procedures, ventilated patient care, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), and comprehensive emergency response. Experience with STEMI and stroke certifications is advantageous.
- On-Call Requirement: No.
- Float Policy: Regular floating within scope to meet facility needs; float to units such as ED Hold area as required.
- Location & Facility Details: The facility features a non-trauma emergency department that functions as a primary stroke and STEMI center. Patient care may include occasional obstetric patients and management of mother/baby until transfer.
- Additional Information: The position requires flexibility to work weekends, with 8 shifts scheduled over a 6-week period. Candidates must be located at least 75 miles from the facility and be eligible to work in Missouri. RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days, finalized at the time of submission. Contractors are expected to complete their full contract without cancellations to accept other assignments within the organization. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027.
