Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the Emergency Department located in the healthcare organization. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care, including assisting with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures, on a 12-hour night shift schedule. The position requires a focus on multi-tasking and team collaboration to ensure patient safety and efficient unit operation.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency room settings; ability to assist in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures; proficiency with crash carts, level one monitors, Alaris pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors.
  • Additional Job Information:
    • Assist in procedures such as chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and blood product administration.
    • Unit specifics include patient ratios of 1:4, staffing with one unit secretary and 2-3 techs, and equipment like crash carts, Level One monitors, and Alaris pumps.
    • Documentation is managed via MediTech.
    • ER hold unit during capacity, with rare capacity issues during summer months.
    • Candidates should have at least 2 years of ER experience and be capable of multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment.
    • Attire: Black scrubs.
    • Schedule posting occurs two weeks prior to start date.
