• Number of Beds: 40+
• Number of Staff: 120+
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (3 rooms and 1 hall bed in high-volume cases)
• Type of Equipment: Cardiac monitors, EKGs, Ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, Lifepak, etc.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Position Overview

The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability, teamwork, and excellent communication skills. This role requires the ability to remain positive and composed under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IV starts and phlebotomy.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpretation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) for RN

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-pressure situations.
• Previous medical experience as an RN, Medic, Technician, etc.

Dress Code

Scrub Attire:

• RN: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• Medic: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top, Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
• Appropriate colored T-shirts may be worn under nursing scrub jackets or hospital-approved jackets.
