Job Details

  • Position Description: Emergency Room RN, providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and scientific judgment in delivering safe patient care. Responsibilities include performing thorough assessments, communicating findings effectively, administering medications, monitoring side effects, and maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education. Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives is essential.
  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: 2 or more years of recent ER experience. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Schedule: Days shift, 6:30 am 6:00 pm, 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Travel emergency room nurses must have fingerprint clearance. Call-out at least 2 hours prior to shift start is required. Floating within the scope of nursing practice, including potential assignments to the intensive care unit (ICU), is required. EMR system used is MedHost (EDIS). Heightened attention to safety, infection control, and quality care standards is essential.
