Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, handling both adult and pediatric patients while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform nursing interventions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records (Epic).
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each.
• Shift Timing: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Floating: May float to other facilities as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, PALS are mandatory.
• Preferred Certifications: NRP, TNCC.
• Experience with general emergency situations, including CVA, and familiarity with Epic software.

Additional Information

Traveling nurses should be aware of the potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. Please ensure any scheduling conflicts are communicated prior to confirming assignments.
