Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
  • Document patient information and clinical findings accurately using Cerner
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with unit-specific protocols and certification requirements, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS as required by the unit

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • West Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted at time of submission
  • BLS and ACLS required through the American Heart Association (AHA); PALS required if mandated by the unit, also through AHA
  • Minimum of 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
  • Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience with Cerner charting system
  • Background in high-volume or trauma-level emergency department settings
