Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in a bustling emergency department on the first floor of a hospital. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, including triage, medication administration, splinting, and other emergency procedures. The position requires collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient throughput and positive patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). No minimum years of experience required.
• Unit Information:
  • Location: Emergency Department on the 1st floor of a hospital
  • Bed Count: 13 beds plus a fast track area with 6 chairs
  • Staff: 40 total staff members, including charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4; in fast track area 1:6
  • Equipment: Vital signs machines, portable EKG, glucometer, transport monitors, Belmont rapid transfuser
  • EMR System: Meditech
• Typical Procedures: Triage, medication administration, splinting, and other emergency interventions.
• Personality Fit: Team-player, friendly, with a can-do attitude.
• Additional Information: No on-call required; weekend availability as needed.
