**Position Details:**
- **Position Type:** Travel RN
- **Shift:** 7P-7:30A
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTE)
- **Shift Pattern:** 5 Days/5 Nights
- **Weekend/Holiday Requirements:** Must work weekends and holidays
- **Experience Required:** 1 year of Med/Surg experience
**Unit Information:**
- **Observation Unit Size:** 10 Beds
- **Patient Ratios:** Approximately 1:5 (no defined ratios)
- **Patient Population:** Adult patients (18 years and older)
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and care for patients meeting observation status criteria
- Administer care for conditions such as chest pain, asthma exacerbations, TIAs, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar problems, DVT/PE, cellulitis, post-procedural monitoring, and minor trauma
**Certifications Required:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale Competency
- Telemetry/ECG Competency
- Optional: TNCC, ENPC
**Skills & Experience:**
- **Must-Have:** 1+ years of med/surg experience
- **Preferred:** Telemetry experience
- **Float Requirements:** Willingness to float to Medical/Cardiac/Neuro-Ortho Units
**Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue
**Attendance Policy:**
- Second Absence: Formal warning issued
- Third Absence: Contract termination unless agreed otherwise with unit leader
- All absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours
