**Job Description:**

- **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN)

- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 72 hours per pay period, 0.9 FTE, 12-hour shifts
- **Weekend/Holiday Requirement:** Must work weekends and holidays
- **Call Requirements:** None mandated
- **Required Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Competency, Tele/ECG Competency (optional: TNCC, ENPC)
- **Experience Required:** 1 year of medical/surgical experience (2+ years preferred for specific positions)
- **Float Requirements:** Yes, to Medical/Cardiac/Neuro-Ortho Units

- **Patient Ratios:** Approx. 1:5, no defined ratios
- **Equipment:** Cardiac monitor
- **EHR:** Cerner
- **Patient Population:** Adults only (>18 years old)
- **Hiring Profile:**
- **Must Have Skills/Experience:** 1 year of med/surg experience
- **Preferred Skillset:** Telemetry experience
- **Common Diagnoses/Treatments:** Chest pain, asthma exacerbation, TIA, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar problems, DVT/PE, cellulitis, post-procedural monitoring, minor trauma
- **Dress Code:**
- **Scrub Color:** Galaxy blue
- **Unacceptable Attire:** Adhere to professional standards
- **Attendance Policy:**
- Second Absence: A formal warning will be issued by the agency.
- Third Absence: Termination of the contract unless a prior discussion and agreement are made with the unit leader.
- Make-Up Shifts: All absences must be made up to maintain contracted hours.
- Note: UPHS–Marquette is not responsible for early termination fees if an agency staff member is released from their contract for just cause, including attendance issues or professional conduct violations.
