Dialysis Registered Nurse (Outpatient Chronic & Acute Dialysis RN / Charge RN) – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 05:30 – 18:00 | 40 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Schedule Format: Monday–Friday 10-hour shifts based on department needs.
    • Weekend & Holiday Protocol: Every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation; occasional Sunday shifts required due to holiday coverage.
    • Call Protocol: On-call coverage required M–F (18:00 – 05:30) and Weekend Call (18:00 Saturday – 05:30 Monday).
    • Floating Protocol: Required to float to all affiliated dialysis clinic locations.
    • Orientation Note: 16 non-billable orientation hours (NBO).

  • Leadership Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Previous Charge RN or Team Lead clinical experience strictly required [HARDSTOP]. Must be capable of serving as Charge Nurse for a 24-chair outpatient clinic unit and running/managing a 4-patient pod.
  • Clinical Specialty Scope [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1+ years of dual clinical RN experience in Chronic Outpatient Dialysis AND Acute Inpatient Dialysis required [HARDSTOP]. First-time travelers accepted.
  • Technical & Equipment Competency [HARDSTOP]: Direct hands-on proficiency with Fresenius 200008T machines (stringing, setup, dialysate conductivity testing, disinfectant testing, and full machine alarm troubleshooting) [HARDSTOP]. Must be fully competent in AV fistula/graft cannulation, tunneled/non-tunneled catheter care, blood administration, and acute dialysis symptom management.
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active New York State RN License [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • Systems Proficiency: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR preferred.
