Job Title: Dialysis Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current WI License Certifications: AHA Provider Level BLS, AHA Provider Level ACLS Must-Have: Education verification Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our outpatient dialysis unit. The candidate must have an education verification. The candidate must have a current WI License. The candidate must possess AHA Provider Level BLS and AHA Provider Level ACLS. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the proper chain of command. Holiday coverage may be required.
