Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for dialysis patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or facility policy, including patient and family instruction
• Document patient care according to established standards of care
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Apply critical thinking skills regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin (WI) Registered Nurse license
• AHA Provider Level BLS certification required
• AHA Provider Level ACLS certification required
• Education verification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient dialysis setting
• Experience providing clinical expertise and guidance across units or departments in support of longitudinal patient care plans
