  • Years of experience REQ: 2 years Peds Cardiac ICU experience
  • Experience REQ: CV and Pediatric experienceExperience Highly preferred: VAD experience
  • First-timers accepted: yes
  • License REQ: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license
  • Certs REQ: PALS, BLS (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA))Certs Preferred: ACLS (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA))
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? -per manager s discretion
  • Local Radius: 60 miles
  • Restrictions: ALL RTO must be provided at time of submission. Approval based off unit needs
  • Guaranteed Hours: traveler may be cancelled one shift/2 weeks*this unit does not accept travel pairs**

Average Daily Census on the unit is 26 with a blend of cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses. The PCICU cares for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care needs.
  • Common procedures associated with this unit's care include cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Transplant, cardiac catheterization, and all medical diagnoses associated with cardiac care for the children in South Carolina.
