Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Open Heart (PICU OH) in a pediatric cardiovascular intensive care setting. This position involves caring for neonatal through young adult patients with congenital heart disease, post-surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplants, and ventricular assist devices. The role requires providing specialized care in a 24-bed Pediatric cardiac ICU and 12-bed overflow unit, supporting patients with complex cardiac needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Nursys License verification; Professional credentials including an active professional license or certificates; Ascension Profile professional certification; Two professional references.
  • Additional Information: Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required. Nurse-to-patient ratios by shift: 1:1, 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown or non-ICU overflow unit. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Valid licenses, certifications, and verification as specified are essential.
