Specialty: CVOR Registered Nurse
Assignment Length: 13–16 weeks
Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.; schedule may include any day Monday–Sunday
Scheduling: Must remain flexible based on unit and patient-care needs; block scheduling is not available
Weekday Call: Approximately 1–2 overnight call shifts from 7:00 p.m.–7:15 a.m.; additional call may be required when short staffed
Weekend Call: One full weekend of call approximately every 5 weeks
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience with strong cardiovascular and open-heart surgical competency
Traveler Experience: Prior travel experience required
Required Certifications: BLS
Preferred Certification: CNOR
Required CVOR Skills: Must be able to scrub open-heart procedures
Additional Required Experience: General operating room experience and prior experience in a large academic teaching hospital with at least 500 beds
Required Systems Experience: EPIC experience within the past 2 years; this requirement is mandatory
Floating: May float to other operating rooms, including general, orthopedic, neurological, and ENT services
Floating Responsibilities: When floated, the RN will circulate and will not be required to scrub
