Job Description: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – Level I Trauma Center

Facility Overview:
The Main OR is a Level I Trauma Center with 24 operating rooms, including dedicated cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotic, trauma, general, gynecology, and plastic surgery services. The facility also supports transplant procedures and organ recovery. The Main OR operates 24/7, providing comprehensive surgical care across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center.
Must have prior Level I Trauma Center experience.
Float to Chestnut Ambulatory Surgery as needed.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and scrub technicians/nurses to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Participate in on-call coverage, including a 30-minute response time.
Support overnight, weekend, and holiday surgical coverage as scheduled.

Scheduling & On-Call Requirements:

On-call: 4 call shifts per month.
Weekends: 1 weekend per month.
Holidays: May be required to work holidays.
Facility Operations: Main OR operates 24/7, with overnight and weekend teams supplemented by on-call staff.
Response Time: Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when called in.
