CVOR RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Recent trauma level II experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Experience with CABGs, aortic and mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVAD procedures required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• CNOR preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients
• Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac surgery procedures in the CVOR
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and specialty equipment for cardiovascular cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to support safe and efficient procedures
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Support patient safety, sterile technique, specimen handling, and universal protocol compliance
• Participate in on-call coverage, including weekend call rotation as needed
• Deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patient populations
