CVOR Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will work within the cardiovascular operating room, providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role requires a commitment to patient safety and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Unit Details

Weekend Shifts: Friday to Sunday
Call: Yes, variable - Typically one weekday call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
Minimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted.

Clinical Requirements

Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine their fit for the position. If deemed suitable and compliant with guidelines, they will be forwarded to management for final approval.

Holiday Work Requirements

Travelers must be available to work holidays as follows:

If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work that holiday.
If two major holidays occur, the traveler is required to work both.
If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays.

Major Holidays Include:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving/Black Friday
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance is required prior to the start date. Failure to meet compliance timelines may result in a delay of up to two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Additional Information

Local candidates are welcome to apply and will receive the same rate as travelers. The number of non-billable orientation hours will be determined based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment, 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
