Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona.
Job Summary: CVOR Nurse
- Assist in Cardiac and Vascular Surgeries: Provide direct nursing care during complex cardiovascular procedures in the operating room.
- Prepare Operating Room: Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to the specific surgery requirements.
- Support Surgical Team: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure efficient and safe procedures.
- Maintain Sterile Environment: Adhere to strict aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report changes in patient’s condition during surgery, including vital signs and overall well-being.
- Administer Medications: Provide prescribed medications and monitor patient responses intraoperatively.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient information, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Provide Patient Advocacy: Ensure patient safety, dignity, and rights are maintained throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform Preoperative and Postoperative Duties: Assist with patient preparation before surgery and recovery after surgery as needed.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to surgical emergencies or complications.
- Comply with Policies: Follow hospital and regulatory policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in Education: Engage in ongoing education and training on new procedures, equipment, and best practices.
Med Ninjas Job ID #18682. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
