Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in the OR OH specialty is responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within a healthcare facility, providing supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, and executing delegated medical tasks to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with no set day off. CVOR call shifts required, including 21 shifts within a 9-week schedule.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license valid in the state of practice; BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications; minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in Operating Room Open Heart.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in the role is preferred.
  • Responsibilities include health data assessment, health teaching and counseling, providing therapy and treatment, documenting according to hospital and regulatory guidelines, and possibly floating to other departments within scope of competency.
  • The candidate may be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts, particularly for CVOR work.
