Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and other surgical procedures in a busy surgical unit. The role requires demonstrating adaptability and expertise in a high-acuity environment, with a focus on advanced intraoperative skills.

Job Details

  • Certifications: Certified preferred; experience in OR intraoperative skills required, with specific expertise in orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, and robotic-assisted procedures.
  • Education Requirements: Valid nursing license.
  • Years of Experience: 2 years in operating room environment, including experience with OR intraoperative procedures.
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, with 36-40 hours per week, including call rotations.
  • Required Qualifications: Must have OR intraoperative skills, experience with robotics procedures, and relevant certifications or substantial experience if not certified.
  • Additional Information: Experience with general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, GYN, plastics, and robotic-assisted procedures is highly desirable. Candidates should be familiar with Meditech documentation system and able to handle high patient acuity cases.
