Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Johnstown, PA
This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), thoracoscopies, and lung resections. The position requires proficient or advanced skills in complex cardiac surgeries, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC; Education: Valid RN license in Pennsylvania; Experience: 2 years; Location Requirements: Must be at least 60 miles from the facility; Years of Experience: 2 years required.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with weekly guaranteed hours of 40.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with various surgical procedures, providing pre- and post-operative nursing care, and floating to the main operating room as needed.
  • Additional information: Candidates must have complete and clear screenings prior to start, including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PA State Police Clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include charge experience for registered nurses, level 1 trauma experience, and robotic lung surgery experience.
