DAY-SHIFT CARDIOVASCULAR OPERATING ROOM (CVOR) RN CONTRACT – ASCENSION ST. VINCENT’S RIVERSIDE

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Jacksonville, Florida. Operating within the specialized cardiovascular surgical suites at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside, this position features a desirable 5x8 daytime schedule (07:00 AM - 15:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,667.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,267.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $35.00/hr (40 regular hours)
  • Overtime Rate: $52.50/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 AM - 15:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call Requirements:
    • Mandatory 15 on-call shifts per month.
    • Strict 45-minute emergency call-back response time to the facility.
  • Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage; holiday rotation covering Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day as scheduled.
  • Department & Procedural Scope: Operating Room 001 (15130). Circulating adult cardiovascular surgical cases: coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic/mitral valve replacements and repairs, aortic aneurysms, vascular reconstructions, and thoracic surgery.
  • Core Competencies: Surgical sterile field management, perfusion coordination, intraoperative blood product administration, emergency crash cart/defibrillation management, and cardiac medication titration.
  • EMR System: Cerner (Ascension Cerner test-out completed during onboarding).

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated acute care CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) RN circulating experience.
  • Licensure: Active Florida RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License in hand at submittal.
  • Certifications Required:
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    • BSN and CNOR credentials preferred.
  • Onboarding Clearances: Standard Ascension nursing compliance package (Core Competencies, EKG exam, Cerner module test-out, and Nova StatStrip).

Location Details: Assignment is located at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside, 1 Shircliff Way, Jacksonville, FL 32204 (Dept: Operating Room 001 - 15130). ⏱️ Assignment Timeline: 13-week contract running from October 11, 2026, through January 09, 2027. Call & Proximity Rule: Candidate must confirm ability to meet the 45-minute response time and commit to 15 calls per month. Holiday Commitment: Must agree to holiday coverage for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day per unit needs. Submittal Rules & Compliance: Active FL or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, and ACLS must be active and uploaded with initial submittal packet. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted upfront in the profile packet.
