Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a CVOR or cardiac operating room setting
  • Current RN licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass
  • Proficiency with thoracic surgery procedures, including daVinci-assisted cases, open thoracotomy, and VATS
  • Ability to support complex cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, aortic dissection repair, TAVR, ECMO initiation, and pericardial window cases
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room for a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
  • Scrub and assist with complex cardiac cases, including bypass-related surgeries
  • Support surgeons and the OR team during CABG, valve replacement, aortic repair, TAVR, and thoracic cases
  • Maintain a sterile field and ensure readiness of instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist with advanced procedures such as ECMO initiation and pericardial window
  • Respond to call requirements and provide coverage when assigned
  • Contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience
