Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,470
  • Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Start Date: October 26, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 25, 2027
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
  • Hours: Approximately 36–40 hours per week
  • Call Requirements: 8–12 days per month, including STEMI and vascular call coverage
  • Weekend Coverage: Every fourth weekend
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Typical Daily Census: Approximately 20–30 patients
  • Electronic Medical Record: Epic

CVOR and Cath Lab Registered Nurse Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact state; a pending New Mexico or compact license may be considered if obtained before the start date
  • At least 1 year of Cath Lab, CVOR, or closely related cardiovascular procedural nursing experience
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
  • RCIS certification preferred or required as applicable to the assignment
  • Demonstrated ability to take call for STEMI and vascular cases
  • Experience with adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Proficiency in procedural sedation monitoring and administration
  • Competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Ability to circulate and scrub procedures, including left- and right-heart catheterization
  • Flexibility to float to like units within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice when needed

Cardiovascular Procedural Nursing Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and procedural rooms for scheduled and emergent cardiac catheterization cases
  • Circulate and scrub cardiac catheterization procedures according to established standards
  • Assist with cardioversion, diagnostic catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and left- and right-heart catheterization
  • Monitor and manage patients receiving procedural sedation
  • Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition
  • Monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan-Ganz catheters as required
  • Provide timely nursing care during STEMI and vascular emergencies while on call
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
