CVOR / Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Kerrville, Texas

Experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurses can join a 13-week travel nursing contract in Kerrville, Texas, supporting cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures. This on-site assignment is ideal for a procedural RN with strong scrub experience, and first-time travelers are welcome.

Travel RN Job Details

  • Location: Kerrville, Texas
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
  • Start Date: October 26, 2026
  • End Date: January 25, 2027
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
  • Call: 24/7 call coverage with rotating weekend call
  • Healthcare Setting: Adult and geriatric cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedural services
  • Department Profile: Two procedure rooms, a 10-bed area, and approximately 10 visits per day
  • Holiday Availability: Must work three of the five winter holidays

Cath Lab Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
  • At least 2 years of recent cath lab, CVOR, or closely related procedural nursing experience
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Strong scrub experience required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • CCI RCIS certification preferred
  • Ability to support cardiac catheterization, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures
  • Strong knowledge of procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia management, emergency medications, sheath removal, vascular closure systems, and post-procedure care
  • Current Nursys verification required
  • Up to two pre-approved time-off requests may be considered

CVOR and Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Support percutaneous coronary interventions, left and right heart catheterizations, angiography, cardioversions, pacemaker procedures, and other cardiac interventions
  • Assist with vascular and interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, drain placements, angiography, embolization, and stent procedures
  • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care in the cath lab pre- and post-area
  • Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Perform or assist with IV access, 12-lead ECGs, ACT monitoring, thrombolytic therapy, sheath management, and topical or vascular closure
  • Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, emergency situations, and potential procedural complications
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiology staff, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
  • Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients throughout the procedural experience
