Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist in North Charleston, SC. This position involves working in a busy surgical environment requiring extensive thoracic and vascular experience, including heart and valve replacements. The role ensures optimal patient care through advanced surgical procedures and collaboration with a dedicated team.
Job Details
- Position Description: The traveler will be scheduled according to facility policy and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.
- Certifications and Education: Valid RN license, BLS certification, with at least three years of experience in operating room settings specialized in thoracic and vascular procedures.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, thoracic and vascular surgical experience including heart and valve replacements, minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, based in North Charleston, SC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac surgeries, robotic surgery using XI robot, advanced spine procedures, and neuro surgeries.
- Additional Information: Must have strong skills in cardiac (CV/PV), coronary artery bypass graft, mitral or aortic valve replacement, and general circulating knowledge for case positioning, prepping, and facilitating surgeries. Familiarity with equipment such as the Mako joint robot and XI robotic system is preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
