Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience
- Strong cardiac scrub experience is required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience working with Epic preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac cases and respond to cardiac emergencies
- Comfort working in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
- Must be able to float based on skill set if needed
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room
- Serve as scrub and circulator for cardiac cases
- Support emergent cardiac interventions and respond to cardiac emergencies
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure safe, efficient OR workflow
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for complex cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members
- Document care accurately in the Epic charting system
- Follow protocols for blood product administration, specimen handling, and universal safety procedures
- Provide high-quality patient care while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and strong teamwork
