RN - CVOR
Job Details:
• Shifts available: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Mids (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), or Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Schedule created in 6-week cycles with self-scheduling
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 2 years of ED experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI/MOAB, TCRN, TNS, ENPC
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 (typically 1:4-5 during days, may flex to 6 at night; 1:3 when fully staffed)
• Care for all ED patient types from neonates to geriatrics including stroke, DKA, trauma, geriatric psych, abdominal pain, and STEMI patients
• Heavy behavioral health patient population
• Required skills: IV starts, assisting with chest tube insertion, medication titration (pressors, insulin, sedation), trauma experience, stroke experience with TPA administration; ultrasound-guided IV preferred
• All agency staff will be re-validated on ability to draw blood cultures without contamination
• Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Ranger for massive transfusions
• No floating to other units
• RN scrub color: Navy Blue

Facility:
This facility is a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated medical center with 273 beds, offering comprehensive emergency care across 44 individual rooms, 10 hallway beds, and approximately 5 cardiac chairs. The facility serves as a Primary Stroke Center and houses a Level II NICU, providing a wide range of specialized services. The emergency department is supported around the clock by ED physicians, mid-level providers, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, electronic ICU RNs for ICU holds, and a robust team of ED techs and specialized nursing roles to ensure exceptional patient care.
