Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist in Indianapolis, IN This position involves supporting adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures in a high-volume Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) center with complex open-heart cases. The role demands expertise in a specialized surgical environment, including the performance of heart transplants, Impella and ECMO procedures, and thoracic surgeries utilizing the Da Vinci Robot.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Indiana state RN license, 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume CVOR center with complex open-heart cases, experience supporting adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures, and familiarity with advanced surgical techniques and devices.
- Additional Information: The position will require on-call availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time. The CVOR unit includes 9 OR suites with 2 hybrid rooms and is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center, Burn Center, and VAD/Transplant Center. Procedures include Heart Transplant, Heartmate III, Impella, ECMO, and thoracic surgeries using the Da Vinci Robot.
