Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources, all within the institution's philosophy. The RN ensures accurate documentation, develops and implements care plans, modifies them based on continuous evaluation, and prioritizes patient and employee safety. Collaboration with colleagues and proactive communication are integral to the role.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree
Additional Information:
• Provide direct care to CVICU patients, including post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
• Maintain hospital and unit-based competencies
• Perform hourly rounding on patients
• Ensure a clean and tidy work environment
• Proactively assist internal and external customers
