Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) Nurse

Join a specialized team in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, dedicated to providing high-acuity care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular procedures, as well as those dealing with severe cardiac or respiratory conditions.

Position Details

  • 36 hours per week with rotating shifts (12-hour days and nights)
  • Weekly orientation program available
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in the CT or CVICU setting
  • Experience in a Level 1 trauma environment is a requirement
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory
  • Open to scrubs of any color
  • Previous travel experience is essential

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
  • Previous Level 1 trauma experience
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC
  • Must have been separated from previous employment for at least 6 months to be considered
