Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU, CTICU, or Cardiothoracic ICU experience required
• 2-3 years of overall acute care nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care to critically ill cardiovascular, thoracic, and cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Monitor patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular procedures in the intensive care unit
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Assess, plan, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced critical care setting
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform advanced critical care nursing interventions
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
• Adapt to rotating day and night shifts while delivering consistent, compassionate ICU care
