CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced CVICU Registered Nurses (RNs) for a dynamic role involving day and night shifts on a rotational basis. Candidates will work 12-hour shifts from 0700 to 1930 or 1900 to 0730. The position includes every other weekend and some holidays, but no call is required. Travelers are welcome, with options for 4x12 scheduling or blocked weekends available upon request.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Utilize the NextStage CVVH machine effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in assessments.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Experience in CVICU is mandatory.
• Proficient in operating the NextStage CVVH machine.
• Prior experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery or an Acuity Adaptable area is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Successful completion of a Telemetry test is required prior to starting.

Work Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours with rotational day and night scheduling. Options for 4x12 and blocked weekends may be available based on traveler preferences.
