Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse is needed in an acute care setting. This role involves working in a busy and fast-paced cardiovascular service line with high-acuity patients, requiring comprehensive skills in the management of advanced cardiovascular support devices and therapies.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Responsible for delivering quality patient care on a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care unit, excluding transplant cases. Experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Impella, balloon pump, and ventricular assist device (VAD) management preferred.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; licensure to submit; no specific education degree requirements listed.
  • Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other week, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The unit features a high-acuity, fast-paced environment, with charting completed in Cerner. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment, or three shifts if shorter.
