Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts on days or nights, either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in the specialty required within the last 3 years
• Travel experience required
• CVICU experience required
• Experience and knowledge of NxStage CVVH machine required
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, and ECMO required
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
• Charting experience in Epic required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility - locals not accepted
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher; two attempts allowed
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Typical patient ratio is 1-2 patients per nurse, with up to 3 general care patients if acuity is low
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection, LVAD, heart and lung transplant, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, WI or compact RN license

The CVICU is a dynamic 27-bed unit with all private rooms, each capable of ICU-level care, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients. The unit is well-supported with interdisciplinary services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more.
