Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Nurse position located in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric cardiac patients in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a focus on congenital heart cases. The nurse will collaborate with a highly experienced team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based vital patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 2 years of cardiac critical care experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with peritoneal dialysis, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) bedside experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit features pediatric cardiac intensive care with advanced equipment such as Phillips monitors, Medfusion and Baxter pumps, and utilizes Meditech electronic medical records. The team focuses on post-operative care, inotropic and vasopressor infusions, chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy and open-chest patients. The unit is known for a highly engaged, experienced staff with an average of 10 years of nursing experience, committed to providing the highest level of compassionate critical care leveraging a culture of safety and evidence-based practice.
