Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2484
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• 36 or 48-hour contract options available
• Day shifts available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 1 to 2 holidays expected per contract
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• 6-week scheduling cycle with schedule provided 1 to 2 weeks prior to start
• Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year of CVICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred
• Must be competent in invasive line monitoring including Swan Ganz and a-lines, pacemakers (epicardial and transvenous), chest tubes, cardiac medications including inotropes, vasopressors, sedation and paralytics, ventilator and trach management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD preferred
• RN draws from invasive lines only; peripheral sticks not permitted
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for regular ICU status, 1:3 for mixed status
• Patient population includes cardiac post-op cases such as CABG, TAVR/TMVR, valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, and pacemakers, as well as thoracic surgeries including esophagectomy, pneumonectomy, and lobectomy, and vascular cases including AAA, TVAR, and carotid endarterectomy
• Equipment used includes EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and GE monitors
• Floating may be required to ED Holding, other ICUs (MRICU, SICU, CICU, Neuro ICU), MSU, Sitter, or PACU Surge
• Scrubs must be any solid color and professional with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available with shuttle service for day shifts and attached parking structure for night shifts
Facility:
This facility is a large 933-bed hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU, as well as a Magnet Designated institution and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The CVICU unit consists of 30 beds and is supported by a dedicated CVICU Intensivist 24/7, a CT Surgeon on call 24/7, Hospitalist onsite 24/7, General Intensivist 24/7, ICU Designated Respiratory Therapist 24/7, a charge nurse with rare patient assignments, and HUC support around the clock. Phlebotomy is also available to assist with peripheral blood draws.
