Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse (CVICU RN) Great Falls, MT. This position involves providing specialized critical care to post-operative open heart patients in a dedicated CVICU. The clinical role requires immediate post-operative patient care, advanced assessment, and support for a broad range of cardiovascular and surgical conditions in a 10-bed unit. The nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care from admission through discharge.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, Degree from an accredited nursing program, current State of Montana RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, 3 years of ICU experience including open heart recovery experience, recent critical care licensure/certification
  • Preferred Qualifications: Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred
  • Additional Information: The RN will be trained to care for immediate post-operative open heart patients and operate advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines, multiple IV pumps, and ventilatory support. The role also involves assessing and implementing policies with minimal supervision, acting as a clinical leader, and precepting staff. The position is a rapid response crisis with a start date of 09/21/2026 and an end date of 12/21/2026.
