Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking an ICU Open Heart (ICU OH) nurse for a short-term assignment. This role involves caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions in a 24/7 acute care setting, including post-operative open heart patients, with a focus on advanced hemodynamic monitoring and specialized equipment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting, with preferred experience in open heart surgery, CRRT, temporary pacemakers, post-permanent pacers, acute MI pre/post cath, mediastinal/chest tubes, ventilator management, hypothermia protocols, and drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Vasopressors, and sedatives.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a valid drivers license and experience with advanced cardiac patient management, including hemodynamic monitoring and device management. The unit uses EPIC charting system, and orientation includes modules, training, and unit-specific procedures. The role may include occasional charge nurse responsibilities on night shift and float to alternative units such as the Acute Care Unit and Medical-Surgical units.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates need to submit a valid license to participate in the IVS process.
