This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including trauma, stroke, and post-surgical recovery, in a fast-paced environment. The position requires highly motivated nurses capable of critical thinking and adapting to diverse patient needs.

Job Details

  • Shift Time: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 1 year (minimum) of relevant experience, drivers license required at submittal to verify geographic eligibility
  • Duties: Management of patients with conditions such as sepsis, STEMI, COVID-19, stroke, neurosurgery, renal failure, respiratory failure, COPD, cancer, DKA, and other critical diagnoses; performing titration of medications including sedation, paralytics, pressors, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin; utilizing ventilators, monitors, and telemetry technology; bedside shift reports and hourly rounding; functioning within a team that includes patient care techs and charge nurses.
  • Additional information: The unit features bedside shift reporting, intentional hourly rounding, and an eICU remote monitoring system. The team is focused on providing a high level of care with a culturally diverse patient population.
