First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas.

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekend: Every other weekend
Charting: EPIC

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of RN experience
  • Experienced ICU RN required
  • ACLS, BLS & NIHSS required
  • EPIC experience required
  • CRRT experience preferred; willing to train
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Experience in a busy/high-acuity hospital preferred
  • Must be flexible with scheduling — no self-scheduling
  • Must be willing to float based on competency
  • Texas RN license required; willing to wait

Unit & Patient Population

  • Cardiovascular ICU
  • High-acuity patient population
  • Typical ratio: 1:2, occasionally 1:1
  • Heart & lung transplant patients
  • LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella and IABP patients
  • CABG and valve surgery patients
  • Vasoactive drips and cardiac titratable medications
  • Intensivist model with RT coverage 24/7
  • Unit orientation: 2–3 shifts with preceptors

Additional Details

  • Teal scrubs
  • No call/standby requirement
  • Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks
  • Holiday requirement: Any holidays the clinician is willing to work
  • Must be open to floating
