Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Job Summary:
Shift: Night shift (7p-7a), every other weekend and holidays as required; options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
Assignment Length: 13 weeks.
Required Certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS; AHA PALS preferred for pediatric unit.
Licensure: Must have an active AL or Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
Experience/Education: Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience and ASN degree required.
Unit Details:
Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU): 4-bed unit caring for adult and geriatric patients post-cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical procedures requiring critical care.
Stepdown Unit (CSU): 8-bed unit for post-surgical recovery (cardiac, thoracic, vascular surgeries).
Focus on post-operative recovery, complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and a patient-centered approach.
Supported by a cardiovascular educator.
Professional Expectations: High level of professional competency required.
Floating: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Charting System: Meditech.
