Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU Days position requiring prior CVICU and open heart recovery experience.

Details

  • 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU with a 1:1-3 patient ratio
  • Post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
  • Cares for patients following open heart surgery and other cardiac procedures
  • Performs central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
  • Uses Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters
  • Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Background in critical care and cardiac critical care required
  • Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address

Additional Information

  • Provide post-surgical and post-procedural care for complex cardiac and vascular patients
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
  • Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
  • Only one submission permitted per candidate across Ascension facilities system-wide
